We are now seeking submissions of photographs for inclusion in next year’s BCC calendar. Why not look out some of your best photos of your feline friends and submit them for consideration?
Each year we have some great photos submitted that are well suited to social media but sadly fail to meet the image quality required for printing at the large size used for the calendar.
As a guide, photos are printed in the calendar at A5 size, i.e. approximatively 15 x 21 cm. Images should be submitted as high-quality jpg files with a minimum size of 2480 x 1754 pixels. For reference, a file will typically be 2 – 4 Mb in size when saved at this quality and resolution. Larger file sizes are preferred if available. Please avoid tight cropping of your images – remember that we will need to add text to your photo on the final calendar page and we don’t want to obscure the picture of your cat(s) – refer to any previous copy of the calendar for examples.
Please provide the: (1) pedigree and pet name of each cat; (2) name of the owner and breeder; and (3) a brief sentence describing the cats’ personality and/or history. The name of the copyright owner (generally the photographer) should be included if you did not take the photo yourself.
